My name is Janelle, but I go by Jenna. Thank you for taking time to look at my profile. Adoption has had a place in my heart since I was very young. Several years ago, I felt God was calling me to adopt. Prayerfully, I am moving forward with that calling. I understand that placing your child with a single mother may raise concerns. Please be assured there are several strong male role models in my family and community who will support Little One as he or she grows up, helping to fill that paternal role. I have also watched several strong women in my family raise their children, providing positive examples of parenthood. 

 

I live in a small town in central Illinois, a short drive from larger cities including St. Louis and Indianapolis. Several family members - including my parents - live in my town, and we see each other frequently. The church I attend has a growing congregation with lots of young families, but it has remained personable. People take time to visit and get to know each other. I was blessed to attend a local college, and after gaining experience through several jobs after graduation, I have been led to a career that I love. The company I work for emphasizes work-life balance, and will allow for time away when Little One is sick or has an appointment.

 

I know I cannot fully understand your thoughts and emotions as you consider placing your child for adoption. Please know that you are being prayed for as you navigate this decision. Openness in adoption is very important to me. Little One will know their adoption story from the beginning, including the courageous and selfless decision you made in placing them for adoption. They will be told how loved they are, and how loved they were even before they were born. I also hope to have an ongoing connection for Little One with you, while respecting personal boundaries. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15: 13)
