Hi!

We are Allen and Abbie, and we are so thankful you are taking the time to get to know more about us! We believe everything happens because of a plan greater than our own, even plans that include such difficult decisions and emotions. Your selfless choice to create an adoption plan for your child takes courage and that weight is something we see and want to carry with you. When we decided we were ready to start trying for a baby, we were hopeful it would happen quickly. As time passed, it became clear that something might be wrong. After meeting with our doctor, we were referred to a fertility clinic where we completed testing and received a diagnosis of unexplained infertility. Adoption had always been on our hearts, and after hearing that medical intervention might be necessary, it became clear to us that God was leading us to pursue adoption.

Our church family is our second family! We are both leaders for our youth group. Abbie is part of children’s ministry and Allen serves in the sound booth. We are a part of a small group where we share meals, study the bible, and pray together each month. Allen has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and works as a structural engineer. He works from home full time, which gives him a lot of flexibility. Abbie has a master’s degree in special education and works as a special education teacher at our local high school. In our free time, we love to visit coffee shops, play disc golf, play board games with our families and friends, and relax at home with our dog and cats.

We hope this gives you a glimpse into the life God has blessed us with and that we desire to share with a child. We promise to provide a home filled with safety and laughter, a family that will show up for every milestone and tradition, and a life where they always know how much they are loved - by us and by you. Even now and in the days ahead, you and your child are heavy on our hearts and we are praying for peace over your decision.
