Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about us and our story. We have been together for about 7 years and married for over 4. Since we met, Mackenzie has faced some health issues (chronic illnesses) and we have decided that having biological children isn’t in the cards for us. Even with Mackenzie’s health struggles, she doesn’t let them get in the way of living and experiencing all that life has to offer. That includes starting a family. While our path may look a little different, we have known for a while that adoption is the path for us - one we believe God has put us on. We also both have friends and family members who have adopted, and we have developed an appreciation and respect for the process. 

When we first started getting to know each other, we quickly learned that we are very much alike. We have the same sense of humor (we enjoy goofy and cheesy jokes), we love baseball, we share the same taste in movies, and we like the same kind of music. One thing that we started a few years ago is we are trying to visit every major league baseball stadium and explore what that state has to offer. So far, we’ve been to 13 stadiums. We are also incredibly close with our families. Mackenzie’s family is big with holiday traditions, such as pumpkin carving, going to see Christmas lights, coloring Easter eggs, baking Christmas cookies, etc. These are traditions that we are excited to include our future child and even make our own. The one thing that is different between us is our personalities. Cole is shy when you first meet him but when he gets comfortable with that person, they will get to see his fun, adventurous, and goofy personality. Whereas, Mackenzie is bubbly, outgoing, and silly. She loves to laugh and make others laugh. Cole is a staff accountant, and Mackenzie works from home as a freelance writer. We are both strong in our faith. Our plan is to raise our child(ren) in a home where we teach them about God and remain active within our church. 

We know that this is an incredibly hard decision, and we commend you on your courage and strength. If we are chosen as adoptive parents, you can trust that your child will be welcomed with open arms into a warm, loving, and supportive home - with a large extended family that’s ready to do the same. By choosing us, you’ll be giving us an unforgettable gift. You will both be a big part of our lives.
